BBQ Marinade

This BBQ sauce can be used for chicken, fish, pork, or beef meat

1 cup of Olive oil

Juice of 4 limes, or juice of 2 lemons

¼ cup of Balsamic Vinegar (or Wine vinegar, or rice vinegar)

1 cup of pineaple juice

½ cup of honey

4 stalks of green onions chopped, greens and white part

½ cup of fresh parsley finelly chopped

1 small onion finelly chopped

2 tsp Shirley J BBQ Sauce Mix

1 tsp Bouillon Beef

Poru this marinade over beef, pork or chicken on this sauce for 1 hour before gilling.

When grilling fish marinade the fish for only 20 minutes on this sauce.

Any left over marinade sauce, can be stored in a sealed glass jar in the fridge, for about a month.  Remove from fridge and bring to room temperature before using.  It will look whitish when chilled.

 

A version of this BBQ marinade is popular in regions of central Brazil.

 

 


BBQ Chicken

In a glass or plastic bowl, add the pieces of chicken you wish to BBQ.

In a separe bowl

Add 1 tbsp Shirley J BBQ Sauce Mix

2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar, or juice of 1 fresh lemon, or both

¼ cup of honey

¼ cup of Olive oil or Canola oil

Mix well

Pour this mixture over the chicken, let it marinade for 30 minutes and Grill till done.


Creamy Salad Dressing

1 ½ cup of sour cream (or Mayonnaise optional)

4 tbsp Balsamic vinegar

½ tsp Shirley J Onion seasoning

¼ tsp Shirley J Pizza and Pasta Seasonings (optional: substitute it ¼ tsp Shirley J BBQ Sauce Mix)

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp celery seed seasoning

¼ cup Ketchup

Mix well with a whisk


Salad Dressing Delight

2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar

2 tbsp Wine vinegar or rice vinegar

1 tsp Shirley J Pizza and Pasta Seasoning

4 tbsp of Olive Oil

1 tbsp honey


Biscuit and Gravy

Bake the Shirley J Biscuits by following the directions on the package

Prepare the Shirley J Universal Sauce Mix as directed on the package.

In a frying pan, brown ¼ to ½ pound of lean ground beef

Add 1 tsp ShirleyJ Onion Seasoning

1 tsp of Shirley J Bouillon Beef

Mix well and this mixture to the universal sauce.

Serve over biscuits for branch, or as a meal.

Bake the Shirley J Biscuits by following the directions on the package

Prepare the Shirley J Universal Sauce Mix as directed on the package.

Mix well and this mixture to the universal sauce.

Serve over biscuits for branch, or as a meal.


Eggs Benedict

Prepare the Shirley J Universal Sauce Mix as directed on the package.

Add 1 tsp ground mustard

Mix well

Serve your favorite Shirley J Bread (follow instructions on the package to bake), and top with either sliced hard cook eggs, or poached eggs, topped with the Eggs Benedict Sauce.


Gourmet Pizza Alfredo

Follow directions on the Shirley J Sourdough Bread Mix package to make the dough as if making it for sourdough bread. Follow tips for fast rising dough to rise the dough for the pizza.

When the dough is risen.

Open dive the dough into as many round balls as you want pizzas—mini pizzas, large pizzas, medium, small, etc.

Roll out the dough and place onto a pizza pan to bake.

Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.

Bake the dough for 12 minutes.

Gourmet Pizza Topping:

Make Alfredo Sauce following the Alfredo Sauce recipe on this page.

Spread Alfredo Sauce as desired onto the semi-baked pizza.

Add another cup of grated mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle lightly with Shirley J Pizza and Pasta Seasoning.

Add sliced onions, Greek olives, chopped artichoke hearts, sliced green bell peppers and sliced red bell peppers, capers, cooked bacon broken into pieces, and top lightly with any Greek cheese or Blue Cheese.

Bake till vegetables are done, about 10 to 15 minutes. Watch it, not to let it burn.


Alfredo Sauce

For pastas, seafood, chicken, pizzas, vegetables,etc

Prepare the Shirley J Universal Sauce Mix as directed on the package, but using 3 cups of water.

Add 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese

½ cup Parmesan cheese

1 tsp of dried basil or 2 tsp chopped fresh basil.

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Cook the Universal sauce as directed on the package, then add all the other ingredients and cook for 2 minutes till bubbly and thick.

Add to your pasta, meats, or seafood.

Store left over in air tight container in the fridge to use in later recipes.

 


Cheese Nacho Dip

Follow directions on the Shirley J White Cheddar Soup and Sauce Base Mix bag to make the base for the Nachos.

Add 2 small cans green chilies.

2 cups of Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1 small bottle of pimientos, or chopped roasted red peppers.

If you like it hot:

Add 1 chopped Jalapeno pepper, seeded for less heat, or with seed for hot.

Cook till bubbly and thick. Add more sauce base mix, if the mixture is too thin.

Refrigerate any left overs in air tight container. Stores for 1 week.

Serve with chips or with raw vegetables.


Chicken Noodle Soup

In a pot add 6 cups of water

2 cups of egg noodles till soft.

Add the following vegetables if desired:

1 cup finely chopped celery (dehydrated is fine)

1 cup chopped green peppers (dehydrated is fine)

1 cup of fresh frozen peas

When vegetables are cooked and soft add:

1 large can Tyson canned chicken with the juice

1 tsp ShirleyJ Bouillon Chicken (Add more if you like)

1 tsp Shirley J Onion Seasoning

Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

Serve with Shirley J Honey Wheat dinner rolls—Follow instructions on Shirley J Honey Wheat Bread bag to make these easy dinner rolls.
